About

Welcome to Longshot Images. Over the last 20 years, I have been photographing as a commercial photographer predominately in Adelaide, South Australia and more recently in Melbourne, Victoria.

I started my photography career overseas, as an assistant in Dublin Ireland, honing my skills on my return to Australia and graduating with a Diploma of Visual Arts and major in Photography in 1993.
I was fortunate enough to start my career shooting film, which gives me a great understanding of getting right in camera first, it’s in the attention to detail. The transition from film to digital and advancing technology gives greater ease in post-production techniques and creatively allows me to really work with an image.
Photographing mainly on location I am able to balance natural and artificial light sources to produce emotive imagery.

My work has been showcased in numerous exhibitions in South Australia, Australia and overseas and I have won awards in the advertising industry. I was selected as a finalist in the National Photographic Portrait Prize in 2009 in Canberra.  In 2013 I was a finalist in the Head Off Landscape Prize, which exhibited in Sydney and a finalist in the Emma Hack Art Prize 2014, Emma Hack Art Prize 2016 and in 2016 I took out the title of  South Australian AIPP Travel Photographer of the Year.

I am passionate about my craft which ultimately shows through my imagery. I am an accredited member of the AIPP with the title of associate.
Specialties that I enjoy photographing are portraits, architecture, interiors, pools, fashion, models, landscapes and of course travel.
